Meet Montana the ram. Some people loved him but the majority seemed to be like what the flip flop? My first impression was that it was strange to be releasing a Halloween decorator for Christmas. My next thought contained images of those elusive black and gold stablemate chase pieces that took me months to find soared through my head. I love all of Breyer's filigree models in all honesty and, in my humble opinion, they don't make enough. I was kind of hoping Montana was a sneak peek of the Santa Surprise and there would be a return of filigrees this year, but nope. Just another lottery draw. I'm thinking the bull was just a micro run and not the annual winter animal decorator after all, just like Cornelius from a few years ago, so I'm assuming that Montana is actually our animal deco. They made a whopping 490 of him so anyone who enters may have a good chance because he seems so unpopular. He is only up for entries until December 22nd. Winners will be selected the next day on December 23rd. If you're picked it may be possible to combine shipping with the Santa Surprise, provided they actually have one this year. For me personally I haven't bought one since the filigrees stopped years ago because they're either unicorns or clearware, neither of which I collect. On a side note, if you entered for Bunyan, check your email, as winners were chosen today. Most of them ended up for sale, it seems, which saddens me due to his rather limited release, but hopefully the people who truly want him will buy him and he'll fall into permanent collections. Are there even still black hole collectors out there anymore?
Don't forget about Peter Stone's final days of their Christmas event. Almost everything has been released minus Ayios from the Christmas Around the World series and Home for the Holidays, Hans Peter and Let Mint Snow from the 12 Days of Christmas series. Most of them are sold out by now minus Daidi (both sizes), traditional San Fernando, non-custom Pere Noelle, RMD Balthazar and I Spotted Santa. Santa's Iced Sugar Cookies says it's part of a series of OOAKs, and this being the first time I followed Stone's Christmas event, I'm not quite sure what that means. I thought it meant he was going to be a OOAK but they released the OOAKs last weekend and he wasn't part of it, unless they're going to be releasing more. Either way, unfortunately for me, my Stone shopping is done for the year.

I think the OOAK run means that it will be a run, but they will all be a little different, and thus, and OOAK. Maybe they will do different types of cookies, or sugar cookies with different designs? Comments are closed.
