I wanted to share with you all next year's Collector Club model. This horse's name is Out of the Blue and can be bought by anyone with a Collector Club membership. You don't need to be in a specialty club. I personally love her blue roan coloring and her mold so I will definitely be getting her. There have been several recent club releases as well. Breyer has finally shown a picture of the last horse in the Stablemates Club, and the new mold, Darley the Arabian (quite a twist on his name, eh?) but the horse itself though... I really don't know what to think. I wanted to like this guy. I truly did. I love Arabians. Outside of Thoroughbreds, Mustangs and Appys, they are my next favorite breed. I confess that I was disappointed in this horse though. He seems very unproportional to me. Too wide in the barrel, too narrow in the flank. The tail looks too long, the neck too muscular for the breed. I was also hoping for a better color than just plain bay - and what's with the pinto pattern on an Arabian? Just a complete disaster was he. I'm still on the fence about keeping or selling this one. I do like to keep the new molds but I'll have to see how he looks in real life before making a final decision. But... I will note that the 2019 Stablemates Club looks to be one of the best years yet! Keep reading on for details. Ironically this year's last horse for the Premier Club was also a dark bay sabino. Coincidence? I loved the mold of this horse who was sculpted by one of my favorite Breyer artists, even though this one isn't an action mold. I've never seen a more realistically sculpted Thoroughbred, though even on this mold I still don't care for the color. His name is Emerson. If you're interested in the Vintage Club, here is a sneak peek of the first Vintage Club model for 2019, Rockford. Made on the Pacer mold, he has beautiful coloring. Will be a real treat for those who join! This horse, Claude, was just put out as a sneak peek. He is going to be a part of the Vintage Club for 2019. Rumor has it he's the bonus horse that only club members can buy. They had posted the molds they'd be using for 2018 in the Vintage Club last Christmas but did not do so this year. However after numerous collectors were hesitant to join the club since Breyer posted absolutely no hint of the horses in the Vintage Club except Rockford, who is on the Pacer mold, which was never a very popular mold to begin with, they released Claude. Here is the first of the 2019 Premier Club horses, for all of you who have been waiting! This set is Rhian and Cadell who are Welsh Mountain ponies. Premier Club horse #3 is going to be a new Rhenish German Coldblood drafter by popular Breyer artist Brigitte Eberl! For the Stablemates Club, they are stepping it up next year by offering not just 1 new mold but 2 new molds! There will be a release on the Belgian mold, the Mirado mold that was previously a new mold through the Stablemate Club, the vintage Morgan mare mold, a Highland pony, new Thoroughbred mold and a new Irish Draught mold.
