Old Bones Series
Sleepy Hollow
"Sleepy Hollow" is on the vintage Stretch Morgan mold which was a bigger model compared to some of the newer molds released these days and the plastic seems to hold up better on vintage models, so I use them a lot in my work. He was hand painted in several layers of acrylics with a vintage gold background. He has a sparkly mane, tail and hooves (the glitter does NOT rub off). On one side of this horse is a cryptic skeleton in a coffin. The bones on this side of the horse glows in the dark. On the other side I have painted a tombstone with a hand coming out from the ground, the grim reaper searching for his next victim and cobwebs everywhere with black Widow spiders crawling all over them. The gold areas on this side of the horse glows in the dark. This horse has been sold and currently resides in Georgia
Bewitched
"Bewitched" is a newly pregnant Thoroughbred mare that I customized on the Breyer Boyla mold. One side of her is a spooky x-ray view of her bones and the bones of the foal she is carrying. The bones glow-in-the-dark. There is a skull on her chest that also glows in the dark. On her other side shows a pumpkin patch scene with four jack o'lanterns. The eyes and mouths of the jack o'lanterns glow in the dark, as well as the pumpkin vines and leaves. This horse has been sold and currently resides in Iowa.
Horsemen of the Apocalypse Series - Death
This horse is one of my personal favorites. I purposely painted her in several layers to give her a hair-like texture to her coat. She was originally the Nursing Mare mold but I have re-sculpted her mane and tail to give them more bounce to the plainer mane/tail of the Nursing Mare mold. I hand painted a skeleton on her in acrylics that glows in the dark. There is a demon on her tail (the mouth and eyes on the demon glow in the dark) and demonic fiery red eyes. Her hooves, mane and tail were painted in glittery gold. This horse took the most time of any of the customs I've done in the past. This horse has been sold and currently resides in Texas.
Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Famine
This is my second horse as part of the series, Famine, who portrays the grim reaper on a flame horse on one side on a spooky fall night. On the other side is the headless horseman riding a zombie horse with a pearly pumpkin head whose face glows in the dark. There is a highly detailed owl on a branch as well. Famine has fiery red eyes, bloody shoulders, bloody mane/tail and his waxy green coat glows in the dark, as does the grim reaper's face/feet/hands. This horse was sold and currently resides in California.
Christmas Night
"Christmas Night" is a custom Breyer made on the Phar Lap mold depicting Father Christmas out on a starry Christmas night delivering presents. His red sleigh pulled by three reindeer (one with a red nose) is floating across woods with several Christmas pine trees. There is a brown horse on his chest walking through the snow. On his other side is a country scene with a silver horse surrounded by fencing, a red barn, a house and a snowman. There is also a wreath painted on Phar Lap's neck. This horse was sold and currently resides in Florida.
Silver Belles
This is the first horse I customized that wasn't on a vintage mold. She was hand painted on the Roxy mold in split gold and silver. On the gold side are silver angels fluttering about. One is trumpeting while the other is playing a harp. On the silver side is a nativity scene of the three wisemen travelling to Bethlehem guided by the Star of Bethlehem among smaller glittering stars. This horse was sold and currently resides in Florida.
Silent Night
"Silent Night" is a Christmas decorator on the Justin Morgan mold. One of his sides was painted in silver acrylics, the other is painted in gold acrylics. On his silver side shows a starry night with the three Wisemen with their camels following the Star of Bethlehem. On his gold side is an angel playing a harp. Other Christmas symbols like the silver bell, the mistletoe and the wreath around the horse's neck all represent the perfect holiday horse. I am the original artist of this horse and have hand painted all the detail on him in acrylics, including his beautiful tri-colored eyes. This horse was sold and currently resides in Kansas.
