Apparently Breyer has started shipping the Premier Club and Vintage Club horses for last year, the mini Troubadour named Lyric and the gold charm mini Secretariat on the Native Dancer mold. I received my tracking number for Lyric (by the way if any of y'all are due to get one of these two make sure your address on file with Breyer is where you want it to go) although he hasn't physically been shipped yet. As far as I know, nobody has actually received either one but they'll probably start showing up very soon! I had finally put in my order for Atticus on my second account since it didn't look like Lafayette was going to come out this month and then, of course, the day after the deadline for Atticus, Lafayette is released. Breyer did a good thing by making him available as a backorder once they're original stock ran out. The original set of Lafayettes will ship ASAP while the backordered ones will ship in September. I do have one available on eBay to those who aren't in the club already bought and will be part of the first shipment, not the backorder. He will ship to me first and I'll look him over for any major flaws before shipping him to you. Not surprisingly, my next regular run order that was supposed to ship the first week of March has been delayed. They're now estimating a mid to late March ship date. I'll keep y'all updated. I've decided not to do pre-orders on this shipment because of some bad eggs who made pre-ordering a pain with my last shipment so everything will be in stock here on my website as soon as I have it in-hand.
In the meantime the Collector Club newsletter for February came out (which made me chuckle a bit when Jaime was selected for the collector story) and there's a new bird in the lineup for next month! If I had to venture a guess I'd say possibly Flash in a silver palomino color. What bird could he represent? So it happened... I thought I'd go one winter without falling on ice but nope. I was wrong. I swear every winter I manage to do some kind of bodily injury to myself, and this time it came in the form of a rotator cuff tear after landing directly on my left arm. Needless to say I was in a lot of pain. Thankfully I ended up getting all my shipments packaged up this weekend before I fell. A couple packages would have been fine but it would be pretty difficult packaging up the sixty orders that I had to get shipped out but it did affect me working with my real horse today, especially as he was in a particularly energetic mood from being inside so much due to the weather. It's been a month since we've had him and I did notice how nice his coat looked during this short time (sorry for the horrible picture... it was taken at night under the lights of the arena on my cell phone) and his overall body condition as well. He's so muscled from the little bit of conditioning we've been doing that he looks like a Quarter Horse! My family have stepped up to help any future shipments that need to be mailed out until my shoulder heals, which I'm really appreciative of. It pops with every wrong movement. Admittedly though there isn't much left. I'm completely out of traditionals and 2/3 of my stablemates. I only have the American Dream and Bella for Classics left. There isn't really enough to put on my website so my store will be empty until I restock the first week of March. The rest of what little I have left is available on eBay. My NaMoPaMo customs have been posted so be sure to check those out, as this will probably be my last customs for a while due to my injury.
I've been selling off quite a bit of my personal collection on eBay as well. My main reason is because I have literally hundreds of horses all over my house and I'm running out of room for any more... which we all know Breyer... there WILL be more! I would say I add at least a dozen traditionals and who knows how many stablemates each year. Dusting is starting to become a pain, and we all know how quickly they yellow when you don't dust them often. Some sunlight would help, yes, but honestly I just want them to go to good homes where they will be cherished. Again I want to remind those of you that if you haven't had your shipment picked up by now, it'll be going out tomorrow. Please note though that my mail doesn't come until 4 PM ET so please give until Tuesday for tracking to update. I hope y'all stay safe and, if you live in the north, stay clear of ice! The rest of my 2021 regular run shipment is here! Weirdly my Atticus and Julius tagged along for the ride with my dealer order, and despite being paid for together, they were both shipped as two separate packages. So much for a box buddy, kind of defeats the purpose. Anyways, at least they're here, and for Atticus I ended up with the matte one. I really like his rich bay realistic Clydesdale coloring. Reminds me of the Budweiser horses. I still have yet to purchase Atticus on my other account only because I was waiting to see if Lafayette was coming out since I paid for Carter at the end of January last year. I'm giving them until Tuesday of next week to release him before I buy my second Atticus. Hopefully I'll get the glossy with my second one. I don't really like the new packaging. I kind of like the mini window boxes more, especially as there wasn't anything keeping Atticus from floating around in the box except a single layer of bubblewrap. However, I miss the days when they came with drawstring bags the most because then Breyer had to actually ship them in those sturdier brown shipping boxes and not the cheap tiny flimsy horsey cardboard that they ship them in now that crush easily... or in my case was left out in the snow and was soaked. I have several Vintage Club horses in my collection but Julius is my first directly from Breyer. This is my first year ever in the club, mostly because vintage horses aren't really my thing. I grew up in the 90s/early 2000s during the Kathleen Moody craze when she revolutionized the molds for Breyer. I was excited to find out that I had a low club number too, only #85 of 500. I've never had one under 100 so this was a nice surprise. Julius is a stunning specimen and that vintage red roan looks really good on him. I'm excited to add him to my herd. I love the box and COA with some facts on it that Breyer includes with each horse. He was a mold that I didn't really care for at first (I much prefer action molds) until I bought Oak from Breyerfest, and now he's grown on me. He reminds me of a Belgian I rode in my childhood. Adding Theo to my collection as well now puts my Georg conga up to three. All I'm missing is the original Georg. Theo is really nice too and slightly metallic in color. They look really good together. Now Breyer needs to make a blue roan :) I was a bit disappointed in my dealer order. It looked like Breyer was really in a hurry to get them out the door and I had a few arrive with damaged boxes. Three of the Orren Mixers I'll have to sell out of box because they were just too damaged. One of the Theos had a huge hole in the plastic on the front of the box so I'm just going to keep him for myself since he was an extra anyway. I always purchase a few more than what I sell for pre-orders to cover any damages that occur in the mail. The rest thankfully arrived unscathed and will be on their way to their new homes within the next few days. All extras will be posted on eBay. Here are pictures of the rest of my order that I didn't show in my last post: Before anyone asks, I didn't get any chase models with this shipment, neither the rare or the ultra rare. Oh, well. After getting three chases in a row last year, ya win some and ya lose some. I did however get a few variations. Some of my yellow Prince Charmings had a orange hue while the majority were a soft yellow. One of my Crois had a blue interference while the rest were pearly purple. It looked like an oopsie because the blue interference was only on one side, like the artist realized they weren't supposed to do that and stopped midway through the paint job.
I feel like a meteorologist saying this but... here in northeast Ohio we've been hit with three snow storms back-to-back and about half a foot of lake effect snow from Lake Erie. Getting time in to train my horse has been incredibly difficult. I haven't been able to even spend much time with him, as our low temps are currently in the negatives with wind chill, making it unbearable to stay outside for even 30 minutes without a risk of frostbite to exposed skin. As such, the post office has been running slower than usual, so please bear with us with shipments.
My Theos and Orren Mixers are supposed to be arriving from Breyer by the end of the week, although there may be a slight delay due to the weather. That said, I'm hoping to have them shipped out by next Monday at the latest. If your order was a part of this shipment, you should have received your tracking number by now. Once they're here, that will conclude my first 2021 shipment. Custom buyers... I have some news for you as well. I will be posting a boat load of new customs that I've been working on this past month up over the weekend on eBay. Be sure to check them out! I have some holiday, Halloween, appaloosas and new beach ponies :) Stay safe and healthy, everyone! Thank you so much for your patience! The first Stablemates Club horse of the year, Atticus, is now available to members. Atticus is the Clydesdale stallion with a new modified loose mane and tail (which I think looks a lot better than the bobs of the previous design which always gave me anxiety whenever I'd ship one that one little bump could make a bob fall off) who is the 50/50 split between matte or glossy. I do have an extra one available, if anyone not in the club is interested in him. I won't know if the two I'm getting are going to be matte or glossy until they arrive. I'm missing out on so much training with my real horse because of this cold spell, which doesn't look like it's going to let up the entire 10 day forecast, in fact it seems like it's going to get worse again over the weekend (back into the negatives) so please bear with me with upcoming orders. To say it's cold is an understatement... it is so cold that frostbite can happen within 30 minutes of exposure. We got a bit of a break when the temperature rose to 19 degrees today so I went out to do a little bit of ground work with Ace, mostly lunging, all the while feeling like my fingers were going to fall off even with gloves on. I bought him a new blanket, which he fussed about at first (ahhhh! something is on me!) but seemed a lot more comfortable once he realized it was keeping him toasty. Breyer did call me today to let me know that they did receive the shipping containers that they were waiting on (yay!) so hopefully I'll be getting the rest of my order soon. I've heard from some fellow Aussies (for some reason dealers there have already received their 2021 releases a few weeks ago... I guess because maybe they're closer to China?) and ****spoiler alert so don't read on if you don't want to know what the chase pieces are for the new Chasing Rainbows Surprise is**** ...apparently one of the chase pieces is a solid hot pink on the standing Warmblood mold while the other chaser is a rainbow on the Croi mold, similar to my most recent custom (although "Chasing Rainbows" kind of made me feel like there was going to be a rainbow and would have surprised me if there wasn't I honestly had no idea the rainbow was going to be on the Croi mold) minus the fact that this Croi is a solid rainbow, no white markings at all. My custom Croi is still available, if any of you want to add her to your Croi conga, especially once the elusive Chasing Rainbows show up here in America they'd make good sisters :) Speaking of customs, this cold weather is giving me a brain freeze. Literally I have had absolutely no motivation for painting. I'm completely burnt out. It happens sometimes, I'll be at a loss for ideas and tired of going cross eyed staring at the tiniest of details so I'll take a few months off. When I come back, usually what I create doesn't stay for sale for very long. When I'm having a burn out, usually what I create takes forever to sell so then I have to strip the paint and try again when I come back from my break. I call it artist fatigue. I'm sure you customizers out there know exactly what I'm talking about.
Anyways, stay safe and well, everyone! Here's to hoping the rest of my ponies show up soon! Attention Vintage Club members: Julius is now available for purchase! Unfortunately this boy won't be for sale. As per Breyer rules I only have one Vintage Club membership and he's going to be added to my personal collection. It is highly possible though that any future Vintage Club releases may be listed here on my website. Since we have until February 22nd to order him, I'm going to hold off for a few days in hopes that they release the first Stablemates Club horse so I can have them shipped together to combine shipping. Also, if you entered for Puffin, the first round of winners have been selected. If you did not, never fear, you may get picked off the waiting list. It doesn't happen very often, but it did for me with Jujube, so anything is possible! If you were lucky enough to be chosen for Puffin and you're a VC member, you can have both shipped together.
Finally, I was planning on my regular run order to last out until April (when I was going to order more to restock) however this year's lineup is so awesome that I'm already sold out on almost everything, so I placed a refill order today. I'm hoping that we'll see Theo and the rest of my first shipment by the end of this week. You guys have been amazing and supportive throughout my first year of being an online dealer. I appreciate your patience during this uncertain time. Keep it up, and I promise to continue offering y'all some nice ponies! My partial order of 2021 regular runs did show up today as scheduled! Surprisingly I didn't even know they were coming, as I didn't receive a tracking number but five oversized boxes were waiting for me: The Pintos and Palominos set are lovely. The palomino Darley has various shades (some very orange, others more yellow) but the others are pretty much the same in all sets. The cremello is really unique, the sooty palomino is very attractive and the color on Darwin is the first on the mold that I've actually liked! The Unicorn Treasures are very beautiful. I especially love Topaz the dark blue. Reminds me of the blue Alborozo chase model from the blind bags. They are very pearly, it's almost hard to photograph them. Spordur fra Bergi is a cutie! I love his chestnut shading and striped hooves. His mane has realistic masking. They did a great job matching the real horse's color to the model. Encore and Tor set are probably my favorite only because of the mare's cremello color. She actually has darker shading in real life than in the stock photo and she has kissy spots on her nose that can't be seen from the angle. Her colt has an upside down heart shaped star and snip. This set comes with a poster of the real horses. Chocolatey is stunning. His blanket markings are very crisp and he has lots of small details: mottling around his muzzle/eyes and striping in his mane. He also has bi-colored boy bits even though he's on the Roxy mold. Obsidian has glitter in his mane/tail and feet feathers but it's not excessive and is actually rainbow colored so the glitter changes color in the light. Reminds me of that rainbow unicorn in Assassin's Creed Odessey that leaves a rainbow trail behind it. He is solid black (no blue sheen) and very matte. Horse of the Year "Hope". He has a heart shaped hole in the back of his box with no plastic in front of it whatsoever. That means, yes, you can reach your hand in and touch it. It also means that yes, your horse can get scratched or rubbed just as easy. The horse is semi glossy and would be the perfect addition to a rainbow collection. I'm going to put reviews of each of these on my YouTube channel so if you want to see more in depth pictures of these guys, I'll be uploading videos over the weekend. I'm not too thrilled with the new packaging but the horses are all beautiful! There really wasn't any I didn't like. I can't wait to see the rest of my order!
I will be getting those that have ordered these guys packaged up over the weekend and ready to be shipped. If you have ordered these with anything not shown, it won't be shipped until I have the full order in. I'm still waiting on Theo, the Orren Mixer Paint, my Classics, the Unicorn blind bags and the clearware leopard. Breyer told me they're aiming for next week but it's probably all going to depend upon this snow storm coming through and how long it delays everything. That's the latest word that I've heard and if it changes, I will surely update. I'm literally hyperventilating on this one! One of my favorite animals, outside of horses of course, are BIRDS! I currently have chickens, ducks, turkeys, quail and a family of fancy pigeons in my backyard as well as a trio of Cockatiels that share my home. Yeah, you could say I'm a bird person, so the new Birds of a Feather series by Breyer is right up my alley! That black neck in the newsletter apparently wasn't Shannondell, but I was pretty close in that it was a drafter. It is actually Wixom in an adorable Puffin costume complete with Puffin beak colored tail bobs: Unfortunately I have decided to pass on her though only because every Wixom I've ever had was tippy. Also I typically only get picked for one lottery model per year so I want to save my chance for something I really want. Hopefully they'll release a colorful parrot decorator in future! 🦜 She's $175 plus shipping if you're a CC member and would like to enter the lottery. Note that Breyer has changed the entries to one per account instead of once per day. Just for fun... a picture of one of my beautiful pigeons named Almond... ...and my 9 year old albino Cockatiel, named Elsa by my 8 year old daughter, who is sitting on me as I'm typing this:
It's February 1st and y'all officially knows what that means! Breyerfest tickets are NOW available for purchase! The VIP tickets literally sold out in minutes but All Access and General Admission tickets are still available, along with the Event Stablemates 4 Pack at the time of writing this. It's possible that the Event Stablemates will sell out by the end of the day. Remember that those lucky enough to get a VIP ticket will get the 4 pack automatically. They make thousands of the All Access tickets so don't feel you'll need to be in a hurry to buy them. If you'd like to see prices and possibly purchase one (I highly recommend at least getting a General Admission for the limited editions) visit Breyer's website here. You may have thought I forgot but my Valentine's Day customs will be posted on my eBay page today! The auctions will end with plenty enough time for them to arrive to you by the holiday :)
I have some exciting colors including some rainbow horses so there will be plenty for everyone. Here are a few sneak peeks at what's available: |
