Breyer has announced that this will be our final sneak peek: I'm nearly 100% sure this is the deco, and it looks like it's going to be a similar pattern to Favorile from Breyerfest 2021, albeit different colors for the body and stripes. Tomorrow we should see the full reveal. Well, I guess that's it. We aren't getting a plushie this year since Breyer said this is the end. With the amount of leftover plushies by the end of Breyerfest, and if they aren't a hot sale then I'm not too surprised, but I am a little since the plushie has been a Breyerfest staple for YEARS.
Anyways, remember that today will be the final day to preorder models that have already been shown. The decorator will be listed at 3 PM the day of its reveal on my Breyerfest Pickup page, which I'm assuming will be tomorrow, and all other special runs will be removed from the website tonight. Those who end up only ordering one special run will have their discount code and time it can be used sent to their email some time next week, so please keep an eye out for the discount code! Again, if you order 2+ special runs then the celebration horse will be FREE with the cost of shipping. As always thank you all for being loyal patrons! Breyer showed us the online stablemate named Wild Things. She is an adorable flaxen chestnut with a metallic sheen to her body and pearly mane/tail on the Cantering Morgan (Charleston) mold. Breyer has stated that this is the final limited edition model reveal, which has confused a lot of people who were thinking we'd have a plushie, but I believe - unless Breyer has decided to take away the plushie since past sales have been so so - that they aren't considering the plushie a model. I could be wrong, of course, since I obviously don't work for Breyer, but that's how I'm taking it by the wording. Anyways, here is a picture of adorable Wild Things, who will be available in the online store only: Another sneak peek we've seen was in the Collector Club newsletter, and it is the St. Patty's Day plushie, I believe. The giveaway this month is a horse I actually used to have in my collection, Goji, and I highly recommend entering for her because she's much cuter in real life than her stock photos give her justice for. Those who have claimed that Breyer wouldn't include sneak peeks of future reveals that are available publicly, as well as through the Collector Club, are incorrect. Breyer has thrown us sneak peeks of regular runs in the Collector Club newsletter, however members are the first to get to see the design of these models before they're made public, which is still a cool perk.
Let's hope we'll get a deco this year for Breyerfest and that we'll see them sometime this week. Me thinks it must be a good one if they're waiting until the last minute. Remeber that the special runs (minus the deco - if they're making a deco this year) will be available through the end of the day tomorrow, January 31st. Be sure to get your order in if you're wanting anything, as there are no guarantees that I'll have extras of a certain model available during Breyerfest weekend. I guessed it correctly. The sneak peek from yesterday was the Best of Breyerfest set. This means that the much anticipated decorator will not be revealed until next week. First up in this set is Bulletproof, a mini me version of Woodford, who by far was one of my favorite grails if I ever had one. The stablemate guy is almost a perfect replica, though I really wish Breyer would've used the new Othello mold that they're releasing this year, although I understand that it technically won't be out until after Breyerfest. Next up is Dance the Night, a miniature version of Kick Up Your Heels. I wasn't attending Breyerfest back in 2014 so I don't remember this guy, but he sure is nice! Flashy leopard appaloosas appeal to me, and grey coloring to boot. I think the mold choice was spot on for this one! There must always be a common colored horse thrown in, and this year it is Flowers who was portrayed after the raffle model, Bonheur. I'm not sure this was a good mold choice, but since Breyer doesn't have a good running stock horse mold in stablemate size right now, I guess they didn't really have too many options. Hint hint for a future Stablemate Club new mold? New Rules is a miniature version of King Arthur, another I don't remember since it was way before my time at Breyerfest, but I think the stablemate mold goes good with the original horse. Although IDYB has him technically listed as "brown" he looks grullo to me. If we're on the Cleveland Bay mold, I would love it if one day they would use Chickory in the Best of Breyerfest series. Last, but certainly not least for the BF 24 reveals, is - and I love this name! - Wannabe who is a miniature of Tacoma. The mold on this one could not match more perfectly with the traditional and the pattern is spot on. This set will be available through the Breyerfest store, so it will be available to online attendees as well, therefore I will not be offering it for presale.
Also, I apologize for this last minute announcement, but the second chance sale has been pushed back to 4:30 PM central time (5:30 PM EST) and please, only one model per person for the first 24 hours. If you already have a spot for either The Edge of Glory, Sorry Not Sorry or My Fight Song, please give others a chance to order. Thank you! Last call for -- uh --- plastic ponies, y'all! Since I didn't sell as many of the special runs that were available online as I was expecting, I do have some open spots for the in person exclusives to fill in on the preference list. These spots have been dispersed between Sorry Not Sorry, The Edge of Glory and My Fight Song so if you missed out on any of them, they will be available tomorrow at 3 PM central time. Granted, I don't have many spots available, but if they happen to not sell out by the end of the day, they will be available until January 31st. The reason I have a January 31st deadline is because tickets start going on sale in February, per Breyer, so I want to make sure I know how many tickets I'll need. That said, those of you who ordered just one special run from me will receive a 30% off discount for the celebration horse if you want her, but it won't be tomorrow during my second chance sale as I previously announced. It'll actually be sent to you on a preannounced date some time after February 1st since Breyer didn't reveal the final special run yet, and I don't think that today's sneak peek is going to be the elusive decorator that we've been waiting on: Maybe, but that looks more like a realistic color to me, so I'm thinking more than likely it's the Best of Breyerfest set or the online stablemate. I have to wait until January 31st anyways that way I'll know for sure who only purchased one special run to send the discount to, as if you ordered 2+ special runs from me, you'll already get the celebration horse FREE already with the cost of shipping. You don't have to purchase the celebration horse if you don't want to... if you're purchasing an online ticket for the online special runs you will already get her shipped to you from Breyer. The discount code will be sent to the email you used when you purchased your special run. You have a week to use the discount code or until she sells out, as I will have limited quantities of her as well.
Please note that once my presales are over with on January 31st, the celebration horse and event stablemates will be moved back to my Model Horse Store page, they will NOT be on my Breyerfest pickup page where the special runs were. I will use this page instead to leave up the prices for my presales on that page so those of you who chose my payment plan can remember how much each model is to save up for your second payment due in June. The latest reveal in the Breyerfest lineup is the crystal model. His name is Fortitude and he is on the Fighting Stallion mold. This guy is about 5" tall and comes in a velvet lined case. The crystal has been a staple of Breyerfest for many years now, as it is the only time Breyer offers models made of this fine material. The crystal will be available as a store exclusive so he'll be offered to online attendees as well, which means I will not be offering him as part of my pickups this year.
Not surprisingly the Quagga model sold out last night. Unfortunately I will not be offering any more of her for presale, however I may have some extras during Breyerfest week if she doesn't sell out at the event. There is always a chance that a certain model will sell out and I will not be able to get it for you Breyerfest weekend without pre-ordering, therefore if you're looking for a certain model, I highly suggest getting them while I'm offering my presales at the more discounted price. Presales will be offered through January 31st or until sell out (I only have so many spots as Breyer only gives 18 or 19 options on the preference list) and, as long as the final special run is revealed by this Friday, I will go ahead with the second chance sale for those who missed out on the in person exclusives the first time. Again, the Quagga will not be included in this sale, all pre-order spots for her have been filled. We're still awaiting the reveal of the plushie, the decorator stablemate, the Best of Breyerfest stablemate set (if they're continuing that this year) and one final special run model, if they're still doing nine special runs this year like they did the past few years. Stay tuned! The latest special run reveal is the highly anticipated other animal mold. This year it will be equine related, however, in that Breyer is producing the very first Quagga model! When I did decorator commissions a few years ago, the Quagga was one of the most requested patterns that people would want me to do for them. To have it on an original finish model is the dream of many, myself included. It is therefore my pleasure to present to you Breyer's first ever Quagga model in the form of I'm a Survivor on the lightly used zebra mold! She is available for presale. Breyer is limiting her to in person sales only, so she will not be available to online attendees. I apologize that I'm just now getting to this post, as she's been posted since 3 PM central time, which was when I've been posting previous special runs. Once these spots are gone, she will not be offered again in my second chance sale on the 26th of January (unless Breyer extends reveals past this date then my second chance sale will be pushed back) due to her extremely limited availability at Breyerfest.
Secretly I figured that Breyer would use Pink! somewhere in this girly theme, and she will be used for the Classics model. Befitting, the horse is an orange, red and yellow decorator... just like fire. Literally. Except with phoenixes. See them? Honestly, I love this dude! I think rising from the ashes fits this theme perfectly! He will be available to all ticket holders in the Breyerfest store so I will not be offering this guy from presale.
The "birds" have flown the coop (much to my dismay as I loved that series but was never selected for any) and a new series is taking residence... in Exotic Destinations! First up - and he's a mouthful - is Reykjavik. I honestly have no idea how to say that, but he is a handsome silver grullo Icelandic that was designed by artist Sommer Prosser. This new series will highlight the beauty of our world and those who inhabit it. I'm assuming it is going to be like the America the Beautiful series except with locales from around the world instead of just in the United States. How rude of Breyer to throw him in while they've been revealing the Breyerfest special runs left and right, as I thought that's what he was originally, but nope! We're going around the world instead. I'm hoping to see something to do with Egypt in this series. If you would like to try your chance at owning this beautiful boy, he is available to drawn Collector Club members only for $180 plus shipping via lottery. Have fun and good luck to all who enter!
Anyone have the Destiny's Child song flash through their head when reading the names of the next release? Or release(s) I should say because it's a mare and foal set? No? Just me? Well, anyways these two are absolutely stunning and will go good with the Premier Club release last year, if you were lucky enough to obtain a set. I figured they'd be used somewhere in this theme, since they have the tendency to use all the Premier Club horses from the previous year for Breyerfest, and to be honest it took Breyer long enough! The color of the mare reminds me of a Gypsy Vanner, as the solid bay with white chrome is really common for the breed so she'll show really well. Her foal is super colorful with one blue eye and is unique that she is black but she is what a black horse looks like as a foal before it gets its darker coloring. I'm also really liking the name of these two. I think they're more closely related to the original theme of Against All Odds. The first obtainable release on this mold, and going by second hand prices for the original set, I know these two will be highly popular. If you want to be guaranteed to obtain a set, I'm offering them for pickup at 3 PM central time today. They will remain on the website until sell out or until January 31st, whichever comes soonest. They will not be part of my January 26th second chance sale since they are also available online, so once they're sold out, they won't be offered again.
What does that still leave to be revealed model wise? Well, we have so far seen the vintage mold (Indian Pony), the surprise, and now have seen all three 2023 Premier Club molds. We've seen the event stablemates, all three limited editions, the online traditional (there will likely be a stablemate online exclusive as well) and six of nine special runs. We still have yet to see the decorator, the crystal, the in person exclusive stablemate, the Classics, the plushie and the Best of Breyerfest set (if they're still doing that this year). I'm assuming the last of the traditionals will be shown by the end of next week at this rate. Well, with this next reveal, I guess I need to take back what I said about the Paso Fino mold being used as a special run, because apparently our final guest horse will be on this mold. A show jumping Paso Fino? I can believe it! My little guy I used to have was full of brio, even as a senior, and had barrelled over quite a few obstacles in his way during the time I had him. I've honestly never seen a grey Paso Fino before, but as with all other greys, he is cute. His name is Gascon the Great and he unfortunately won't be available from me through pickups, but he will be available in the online store Breyerfest weekend... ...as will Blue Zeus! I cannot tell y'all how excited I am that this beauty was made into a portrait model! He is stunning, and he'll be the perfect stallion for the Premier Club mare this year, Firestorm. He is the online special run, available to all ticket holders but only through Breyer's online store. Those of you going in person must be able to access the internet to buy this guy, he won't be available in person at Breyerfest. Gahh!!! Breyer, you're killing me with all the colorful reveals this year. I'll definitely need more shelves after this Breyerfest. In addition to these reveals, Breyer has announced that tickets will be digital this year, not shipped in the mail like the last couple years. Let me tell y'all... this is awesome! It was so nerve wracking to have to worry about losing tickets when I was standing in line, and I actually did lose a ticket for Speos last year, but thankfully I was able to pick up another with the wildcard tickets. The digital tickets take a load off of my shoulders. If you don't have a smartphone, you can have your tickets printed for you at the KHP. They did say there will be a "small processing fee" but let's hope it isn't more than a couple bucks. Nothing worse than being hit with hidden fees during checkout.
Tickets will be going on sale in February. Also, there will be FREE parking for the 2024 event included with all in person tickets. No need to purchase a special parking ticket on top of your tickets anymore! |
