Happy Father's Day to all the males of the hobby to which this applies, or the partners of the horse crazy women in this hobby (myself included) that tolerate our pony fantasies. As a tip for those who haven't heard, Stone Horses is having a sale through midnight EST for Father's Day only, up to 30% off on anything under their New Releases page. I woke up early this morning to purchase Monica, who I've had my eye on for a while but didn't think she'd ever go down to the price she is at now, so I highly recommend taking advantage of it if there is something you wanted but not at the price it was at. Speaking of Father's Day though, I just wanted to say RIP to Rheverence, who will no longer be able to father any more beautiful foals. I've seen it all too often, and I'm sure most of you who have been in this hobby a while have seen it, too. A horse will be portrayed as a Breyer model and then pass away suddenly. This time, it has happened to young Rhev, who had just turned 8 years old only days before his untimely death from coronavirus. Despite all the people now trying to flip his model due to the increase in prices from his passing, I'm proud to own his model. He was a beautiful horse that is gone too soon. He was a sane horse despite how young he was that had lots of championships ahead of him. This was the photo I snapped of him at last year's Breyerfest and he was cool as a cucumber despite everything going on around him: To think that in only a few more weeks Breyerfest will be back at the KHP yet again for another assault from the model horse enthusiasts, aka us, and all the pretty ponies that make up our wonderful models. If you're going, and you have not checked out the guest horses this year, I highly recommend doing so. Those who pre-ordered from me and are not going, beware of the overload of pictures to come! I will try to attend Equilocity as well, and if you haven't seen the eye candy being offered as runs for that event, here is the link where you can see what will be available.
