Shipping invoices have started being sent out today. They were sent via email so those who originally paid with Paypal must check their email for this invoice. When I email you your shipping invoice, it will have the address that was given to me when you placed your deposit. Please double check this fine print to make sure your models are going to the right place. If this has changed, please let me know ASAP so I can get that corrected for you. Again, this shipping charge only applies to those who either bought special runs or traditional limited editions, it does not apply to event stablemates or the celebration horse, as those had shipping paid in full when you originally purchased them.
Although I give until July 24th to pay this final invoice, the sooner you pay it, the sooner you'll get your models. I typically go with whatever service is cheapest to save you money. This year, with UPS being onsite at Breyerfest, it might even be possible for some to be sent out directly from the park, which makes it a whole lot easier than transporting them back to my hotel room since most of my pickups are shipped via UPS. In regards to my previous post about pickups for next year, I will only be limiting the special runs - the models that require a ticket - to people who have purchased pickups from me within the past 3 years in good standing, meaning no late or missed payments. For 2024, event stablemates and limited editions (aka store specials) will still be available for pickup to the public while supplies last while leftover models, including surprises, will be available during the event. I did want to note for those that still want to be on the Breyerfest special run list for next year that surprise model purchases for this year (2023) will count towards being put on my special run list for next year (2024). This was a question I was asked by a couple of new people who never bought from me before and missed out on pickup pre-orders earlier in the year but wanted to be put on the list for 2024 pickups. If you're interested in surprise models, be sure to keep an eye on my Model Horse Store page during Breyerfest weekend. I will also have some goodies from previous years on there as well :) I found the June newsletter interesting, as it talked about the Fun Foals event from way back in 2009. I remember the Fun Foals and actually had the pinto running foal at one time. I remember how badly I wanted the draft foals, but I was sent the pinto shown in the first photo below, and sold him a couple years later. Now I'm kicking myself for doing so because I can't find another one for the life of me. For those who don't remember or weren't collecting then, the Fun Foals was part of the Treasure Hunt series where Breyer released a group of models and you had to buy so many, send them the UPCs and you'd get a freebie model. Those, my friends, were the good old days. I guess today's Collector Club Appreciation event is kind of, sort of like the Treasure Hunt series in that you purchase so many regular runs to get a free model, except they are just glossy versions of regular runs whereas the Treasure Hunts were all new colors that were sent randomly and, well, much more fun. I also used to own Winter from the Four Seasons treasure hunt. The giveaway for the month, to go with the treasure hunt theme, is a glossy Omega Fahim. Finally, the reveal for this month's newsletter is a pinto in some sort of gold coloring: The mold is what I believe to be Forever Saige by looking at that eye, and "eye" is the only hint used by Breyer as to what it could be, but I'm fairly certain this is another bird, and that makes me a bit sad to have an unobtainable on Forever Saige. It seems like all my congas are ruined by these unobtainables. One day, I will stop worrying about congas and just collecting what I like.
